OUR STORY

Greg and Kel Kelly, along with their two daughters, Lauren and Hannah, have called Giligulgul, Guluguba, QLD (near Wandoan) home since 2004. At Juandah Grazing, we’ve been running stud, commercial, and organic breeders ever since.

Our property spans about 5,000 acres, where we run 300 Angus/Brahman cross commercial breeders and 100 Charolais and Charbray stud breeders. Most of our breeders go back to our Charolais bulls, producing the kind of prime carcass cattle that really tick all the boxes for us as beef producers.

Weaning time is always a big event here—we sort out our top bulls for our sale in Toogoolawah and paddock sales, as well as select steers for carcass competitions we enter throughout the year. The rest of the steers and cull heifers either go to local feedlots or are sold through AuctionsPlus. Any larger or older heifers that don’t quite make the cut as breeders head into the organic market for local meatworks.

Since day one, our focus has been on fertility, temperament, softness, soundness, and, most importantly, carcass quality.

All the hard work over the years has paid off, with plenty of success in the carcass arena and prime cattle competitions. We’ve been lucky enough to take home accolades from the Brisbane Exhibition (Ekka) Paddock to Palate, Beef Australia (Rockhampton), the Wandoan Beef Bonanza, and the Charolais Society Carcass Competition
